The WVPO tools on TradingView
Three indicators measure what the method assumes: which volatility regime the market is in, where the cost basis of recent events sits, and whether your own sample proves anything at all. The source is open and every number can be recalculated.
The three tools
WVPO Volatility Regime Filter
Volume I, chapter 13
- Measures
- Percent ATR ranked inside a rolling 252-session percentile window, cross-checked against VIX and its term structure. The result is one of four regimes as a traffic light, including the three escalation rules.
- Does not
- It does not read structure. Whether the market trends or ranges remains your check.
WVPO Anchored VWAP Fan
Volume I, chapter 12
- Measures
- Several event-anchored VWAPs on HLC3, weekly reset on the Globex week open, distance from price to each line expressed in ATR units.
- Does not
- It does not tell you which anchor matters most. It does enforce the anchor budget of three to four lines.
WVPO Rolling Expectancy
Volume I, chapter 17
- Measures
- Expectancy, profit factor and hit rate of your own trades, plus the sample verdict and the validation gate built from expectancy and profit factor.
- Does not
- It trades nothing and transmits nothing. The numbers stay in your chart.
With Volume II
The tools for chapters 20 to 22 of Volume II are published on TradingView, with open source code.
WVPO Spring-AVWAP-Slope
Volume II, chapter 20
- Measures
- An AVWAP anchored at the Spring low: its slope in ATR units (rising, flat, falling) and the position of price relative to the line. It gives a verdict on sign 5 only when both axes agree.
- Does not
- It judges this one sign only. The other four need order flow, the volume profile, and your judgment.
WVPO LPS Three-Point Detector
Volume II, chapter 21
- Measures
- The three measurable hallmarks of the Last Point of Support: depth of the pullback below the buy zone in ATR, position of the low relative to the zone of the rising Spring AVWAP, and the band of buy zone, Spring AVWAP and higher low. Plus the volume switch between mode A and mode B.
- Does not
- It does not check phase and consensus. The table therefore says three of five, never five of five.
WVPO VAH Break + Spring AVWAP at the VAH
Volume II, chapter 22
- Measures
- The VAH from your profile as a zone in ATR units with the stop line at its lower edge: close above the zone, volume against the time-of-day average, confirming daily close, first return with the volume switch. It shows the distance of the Spring AVWAP to the VAH.
- Does not
- It does not check the range, phase, consensus or the news blackout.
What these tools do not do
They produce no entries, no exits, no targets and no win rates. An indicator can measure, the decision stays with the person in front of it. That is why the scripts publish the mechanism with open thresholds while the calibration stays in the book: which value applies to which instrument in which regime, and which case backs it.
Set up in four steps
- Open a chart and call up the indicators tab.
- Search for the name of the tool, author WVPO.
- Add the script to the chart. The defaults match the values used in the book.
- Adjust thresholds if needed. What the values mean is explained in the matching chapter.
The calibration as a printable sheet
The scripts publish the mechanism with open thresholds. Which value applies to which instrument in which regime fits on two pages: percentile bands and escalation rules, the five AVWAP anchors with their budget, the sample tiers and the validation gate.
Alerts and the trading journal
PlannedThe scripts fire alerts on bar close, so the signal itself never changes afterwards. The direct handover to the WVPO trading journal is built but not yet switched on. Once it runs, it will be stated here.
The method behind the tools
An indicator shows a number. Why that number counts, and when it justifies a trade, is what the Golden Slice cheat sheet demonstrates on a real case.
